CAPUT MORTUUM

A short two-page side-quest dungeon.
Written for use with THE BLACK HACK (as part of The Black Hack 10th Anniversary Jam) though suitable for any old-school TTRPG. 

PREMISE: A patron has despatched the PCs to collect the severed head of a tyrant, a particularly cruel and sadistic one whose name and history has been magically wiped from memory. Thus always with tyrants, they were eventually overthrown, dragged to their impending sepulchre and executed. The tyrant now haunts their tomb, wielding the two-handed axe they were beheaded with, cursed to forever seek their lost head.

• Contains an 11-room dungeon filled with threats, treasure, and a talking skull. Everyone loves talking skulls.
• Ideal for fetch quests / short dungeon crawls.
  
• Probably for low levels.
• 100% Human Made. No AI.
