Lair of the Lindwyrm {draft}

is a depth-crawl for use with the Shadowdark RPG themed around an enchanted forest. Originally created for the Mystic Wood OSR Adventure Jam but unfortunately wasn’t able to develop it as much as desired before the deadline. Still posted it anyway for others to potentially mine and the possibility of fully expanding it later. Enjoy! 

Premise:

A fearsome serpentine dragon called a Lindwyrm, has recently slithered up from the lightless realms below and into the vast forest of the Great Weald, drawn to the riches contained within an ancient barrow. 

From this newly established lair it menaces the inhabitants of the forest. In response, the guardian spirit of the Weald has placed a mystifying enchantment over the woodlands in an attempt to contain the Wyrm and its destructive influence. Now both the Wyrm and the enchantment have made the inhabitants of forest, as well as the folk of the nearby village of Walden, fearful and exasperated.

Who will brave the enchanted forest and cease the Wyrm’s reign of terror once and for all?
